i think your config files are ok. please double check the physical connection. i think somewhere is wrong with connection. originally, we provide BNC RJ45 connector. the message from asterisk console shows that the line still down.

Thanks for the reply. We have checked & double-checked the connection and it appears to be fine. Like I mentioned, booth sides (including the GSM Gateway) are registering the physical E1 connection - which wouldn't be the case if it was a physical connection issue. Could it be due to something else?
I am quite happy to give you ssh access so that you may have a look.

hello, if you restart zaptel and asterisk, your pbx still can not works and you can sure the physical connection with no problem, please try to recompile zapte or install other version of zaptel.
